This might be really dumb but if a caster has +6 jack points and a jack cost 10 do i get it for 4?

Think of it like a pool of Jack points that only the caster can spend.

Yes but the next jack would cost it's full points.  So two stormclads which cost 10 points each would cost a total of 14 points with Stryker because he has 6 jack points.

of note: this only applies to warjacks in your battle group (controlled by that warcaster) so the Avatar of Menoth (11 points) which cant be in a battle group is not reduced by the warjack point value of the warcaster.

this is just an example, i dont know if other factions have a similar situation, or if this is specific to menoth.
