I will be there tonight, and I'm excited for more distinct gentlemanly snickering.  A game would also be good.
Too busy being AWESOME to listen to your whining.

At least one player returning to the game will be in tonight.  He's from RI, works for Hasbro with Eric Riddlon (the dude with the SWEET Necrons that were in the case for a while).  He's playing in the doubles but I don't think his partner will be around.  Had a bunch of nice things to say about the store.  :)

I met him tonight (I'm pretty sure his name is Chris), and this dude has one of the better Ork armies I've seen in person. It's full of nice touches here and there, and a dakkajet is a great centerpiece. Brad and him were just setting up as I left.

There were doubles practice games and singles learning games. Really good night, feeling good about the crowd lately. It feels like everyone is warming up.

Llynch98: Yes, Several people are willing to take some type to let you watch a game and explain stuff to you. I know a few people would be willing to put a Demo game on for you so you can get an understanding of the rules.

It was a good night. Thank you Brad for explaining to me the nuances of a drop pod army as well as  throwing down against Chris and his orks, I am looking forward to hearing how the game ended.

Now to get a damn army painted so I can take part in the madness again.

Tonight, I know we'll have more practice games for all the upcoming BG events (Doubles this Saturday!), along with the usual plastic man shenanigans.

A Singles match for serious tournament practice.
A Doubles match practicing for this Saturday's tournament.
A 3v3 match of just silliness.

So. How was your Thursday?

Last night was AWESOME.  6 people is too many, even our 1000pt/person game took forever and a half, but I think there was a good time had by all, and I think some of the newer players learned some things.  Plus, having Death Company running around with a 2+ cover save (courtesy of Shield of Sanguinius from my Libby Dread, and Invisibility from Tigurius) was HILARIOUS.

Hopefully be making it down this week. Anyone want to get a "Armour War" Game in for Practice?

And Ben are you going to be around? I want to talk to you about some stuff rattling inside my hat.
