Excuses from the Hat!

Chaos Space Marines vs my awesome new Shark Marines. Pictures will eventually be posted, but you can see them at the Invitational. Albeit briefly, as I was effectively tabled in four turns tonight. But they're very distinct, and I'm thrilled.

Orks vs Sisters
Chaos vs Orks
Daemons vs Black Templar
Tau vs Blood Angels

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Thursday 40k.

I'll be there Thursday with 500 points of IG looking for some 500 point tournament practice

Fixed. :P

There's going to be some strange side-by-side games coming up between the 500 point tournament and TempleCon.

I have a teaching game lined up, so all I have to do learn how to play 6th before then. :P

Welp, I just got laid off from work  :'( (thank you government spending cuts killing defense contractors everywhere), so I'll have an abundance of free time.  I'm planning on having 500 points of Lamenters built up, maybe more, if anyone is interested.  They might even be painted... :D

Yes on both counts.  Hopefully not for too long (not because I don't want to hang around all day, because I kinda do  :)  ) though, I'll be back on the job hunt very quickly.  I automatically pass tests to regroup.

Well, if you're free Thursday nights, there's a place...
Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

Okay, I just copied the lyrics from the Cheers theme.

Hello all. I am looking to get back into the game after about a year hiatus and was wondering what points level people usually play on Thursday nights and if I should try to prearrange a game or just come down to the store with my models.

Thanks,

Jay

Hi Jay,

People are currently practicing for both 500 point and 2000 point tournaments, and there's still some casual/new players throwing out near-1000-ish points.

If you can prearrange a game, it's a good habit. I can make introductions, but I can't always guarantee a game. It's a very loose thing here.

Thanks Ben. Is anyone up for some 500 point practice. I'll be your target dummy

For what it's worth, I'll be there too.

I have a teaching game lined up that's I've had to put off for almost a month now. So that's going to happen. Getting back to my roots!
