It's certainly a generous and unforeseen way in which Ben is utilizing that stuff.

I'm glad it seems to be making people happy.  :)

Here I was thinking my DakkaJets were really really bad tonight....then I get home and realize that those SupaShootas are twin linked...with all the ones I rolled tonight maybe they would have done better if I could remember how my own units work.

Busy, busy night tonight.

Three extra tables, but only because one real table ended up being extra-terrain bitch. That's what happens when no one puts terrain away and no one pulls the table out from the corner.

Tonight's fight card featured:

Orks vs Tau
Blood Angels vs Chaos Space Marines
Space Marines vs Space Marines
Deathwing vs Space Wolves
Space Marines vs Sisters of Battle
Grey Knights vs Dark Eldar

There was also a demo game using Necrons. The new guy, Gus, won the Black Templar Emperor's Champion model.

Cool.

I love when new players win stuff.

Also, if anyone wants to show up tonight at like 10pm to help me set up tables and terrain, that would be cool.  Although you might be there late.

Need that time to last minute get everything together. If I went though I would probably sleep outside in my car for the tournament :P.

We will be taking a break from the tourney scene for a while as we learn 6th edition, folks.

The next 40k event is the Feast of Blades qualifier on August 4th.  2000 points.  Not sure what edition it'll be run in though... I need to look into that.

Yeah, I'm fine with the break. There's a line of not-yet-tournament people who'd like to play against me. And when 6th Edition drops, I'll have to figure out how to teach people that.

:3 You learn the rules Ben and you teach those Rules to the new players.

I kinda want to do a last hurrah to 5th before it disappears. Its the First Edition I have really learned a majority of the rules for and it feels saddening were leaving it now for a newer edition. :( :(

Then I watch those players play better than I. Like Ben Kenobi, I get cut down by my students every week, only to become more powerful than they could possibly imagine.

So tomorrow is Thursday. That happened really fast.

I owe some people games, and for those players, it'll be first come, first serve.

I won't bother teaching anyone for at least the next month, since I expect everyone to be teaching each other the new edition. I can't wait for Sam to freak out on someone after the zillionth rules question.

Last night was good, except for the part where I came home and had no Internet connection.

Deathwing vs Space Marines. My teaching game for Max resulted in me nearly being tabled. Just one Terminator left on the board after 7 turns. Did I mention I was supposed to be teaching him?

Orks vs Space Wolves
Orks vs Sisters of Battle... I think?
Three new guys I didn't get the chance to meet, maybe Necrons and Dark Eldar?
Orks vs IG
And I'm pretty sure I'm missing a game. Should've taken notes.  :P

The Green Tide washes over us!
