Damn, I really need to fight for more Thursdays off from work.

Who's up for some 1850 practice next week?

To say that my Tau "beat" the grey knights wouldn't be exactly accurate. More like a really close game where I got lucky.

It was a fun game but I made the same mistaqke I always do with tau,

I try to get in a shooting match with them instead of driving up really fast and poking them in their fish heads with power weapons

Ya, I'm not sure what would have happened if you just drove towards me. I guess the your shooting didn't work out too well that game but that was due to my luck. I'd be curious to see what happened if we just replayed the same game and re-rolled all the dice.

Jason, at some point I want to watch how you set up and move your vehicles. I'm thinking that may be the next way to elevate your game.

Seeing as how I am now Jobless, I will likely be down for thursday this week,

Going to try my darnest to get up Thursday as well, now that it's not 20- degrees outside!  You'd think, in the... 3 months!? sense I was last up there I'd have gotten some painting in, right?  Wrong!  Just got my guard command squad 90% done... just need to base and varnish but I really don't want to varnish.  My stupid GW varnish is clouding up the models, ruining the paint jobs.

Hi all.  New to the area and dusting off my Necron army.  Haven't played a game of 40K since 4th edition, but got some new Necron stuff put together this week and am planning to attend 3/8 to meet some folks and try to get in a game. Like I said, not new to 40K but honestly have not played in a few years, and never under the current rules. So, Planville at 6:00-ish is the normal Thursday night 40K gathering?  Looking forward to it!  -Mark

Welcome! Start times have been creeping toward 6:30-7. Of course feel free to show up earlier and just meet people and chat.

For everyone else's edification, the past week of my new job has been pretty tiring. I'm still showing up for Thursday 40k this week, but I'll be "that guy", who watches games, interjects with inappropriate rules, and breaks your concentration with my labored, greasy breathing.

Anyone looking for a Thursday game?  Specifically, I wanna practice my 1850 list for the tournament next week.
