I'll probably show up to get in some last minute practice before saturday. Salamanders don't have many colors to paint :p.
I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.

Did you use my suggestion about yellow polka-dots? Spotted Salamanders, for the Emprah!

Thursday Thursday Thursday!  I should be there tonight looking for either a real game 2000 Deathwing, or barring that I'll unleash my 500 point Mephiston List for those of you preparing for Saturday.

Oh god it's a Rhino!

Reality is a cruel and unintuitive place with rather frustrating game-play mechanics.

The night started slow, with only Daemons vs Tau and Tau vs Orks, both practice games. But around 7, we saw...

Blood Angels vs Deathwing (Mechanicon practice)
Daemons vs Space Marines, twice
Tau vs Tau
And I feel like Emory played a second game that I can't recall at the moment...

Pretty solid night. Lots of discussion about the tournament and strategies.

Funny thing. I realized I designed a tournament in which I am a weak contender in the last bracket. I am almost guaranteed losses in the first two matches, and the third and fourth scenarios are uphill battles. Funny enough, it's the last scenario where I feel strong, just in time to play myself out of the Smokin' Boots award. So, I really haven't done myself any favors. I look forward to seeing everyone Saturday, should be a blast!

Yup, I expected Doubles fever to start hitting Thursday 40k immediately after this weekend. Less than a month to the Doubles tournament on December 3rd.

For those who haven't looked over the tournament rules yet, they're posted here:
http://www.battlegroundgames.com/forum/index.php?topic=3775.0

Basically, you and your partner can spend up to 1250 points each to build half of a list, you and your partner able to select up to 1 selection per Force Organization Chart slot. There's a third "floating" choice that either you *or* your partner can share (but not both). That's the basic idea.

I'll make sure the scenarios are printed out. People love the Adepticon scenarios for their complexity, but it usually takes me a half-hour to decipher each one. These latest missions are the most complicated I've seen yet.

So Wes threw down the challenge today.

This Thursday, my lowly Daemons vs the new and greatly improved Wescron Necrons. It's on!

This will be Wes after the match.  :'(

This will be me.  ;D "Karate Day, boo yeah!"

All I seem to remember is my Bloodthirsters smashing to bits those paper pinatas you call Monoliths. Pick a points limit already so I know how many of my Bloodcrushers will become Robotcrushers.

Wes, I have to back out of our match, for now. I forgot I have a prior commitment this Thursday to try out the new edition of the Warhammer Fantasy RPG. I got caught up in the fauxchismo of competitive plastic space mans that I lost all sense of time.

There shouldn't be a single person though who doesn't want to play against the new Necron codex. It looks crazy fun.
