The 2v2 thing was a bit slow but at least I got to meet some new people, Paul, Kyle, and for some reason I want to say Peter. In other news, HAPPY KARATE DAY WES!

Slow, yes, but a good learning, everything started to come back pretty quick.  Next week I'll beable to rock a game pretty easy.  I'm surprised my guard didn't all die in droves and in fact almost killed Mephisto(?) while only losing *1* guardsman.

For a "light" night there certainly seemed to be a lot of people / players there.  I think there were probably another 10ish 40k players in the room that weren't playing, for whatever reason.
Part of that may be no open tournaments on the radar. We had a pretty good stretch there of like three tournaments piled into each other (Singles, Trios, Ard Boyz).

A couple of the Magic players you saw got some 40k done well before most people arrived, and that's pretty usual for them.

There is not likely to be any 40k tournaments until November (doubles, most likely).

There is a league coming though... ;)

Funnily enough, the only thing Im not afraid of in 40k as Necrons, is deepstrikish armies without any large monsters to kill, deathwing (?) and demon free demon armies are tasty

Nothing like that moment of discovery.

Looks like at the rate power is being restored, I imagine Plainville will be up and running by Thursday. If not, gaming in the parking lot, by candlelight.

Tau player I'm guessing?  Never played them, but I won't commit to a game.  I don't know if I'll beable to make it up or not, still don't know what days I'll be working.  Don't want to have to rush to work right from the game.
