Unbelievable night, there were six players tonight new to Thursday 40k! Always happy to see new faces, but just amazing.

I saw today...
Tau vs Grey Knights
Tau & Grey Knights vs Orks & Necrons
Witch Hunters vs Imperial Guard
Imperial Guard vs Blood Angels
Blood Angels vs Necrons
Necrons vs Chaos Daemons

Only the Tau and Grey Knights were the same players, so we had a dozen strong and five tables rolling dice for control of the galaxy.

I don't know if we've got a good thing going, but for tonight it went great. Yay, we're playing!

I think I will be bringing my Dark Angels down on Thursday. I came by on Saturday to check the store out, and played a game with a friend, but I'd love to hook up with one of the regulars.

What point level do you guys usually play? I've been prepping for the NOVA Open, so 2000 points has been my standard fare lately, but I'm open to anything.

I'm pretty sure the focus will be at 2000 points for most of the summer.  A bunch of the guys are preparing for both of our tournaments and/or NOVA, all of which are at least in part 2000 points.

Yeah, this summer will likely see lots of 2000 lists, for the Singles tournament in July and a portion of the Team Trio event in August. Last week, there were three practice matches and three casual games.

I'll be bringing my tournament list. Whoever else will show up is a mystery solved usually around 6:30 PM.

All tables full up, some tables had multiple games. I'm serious, it's getting to the point where more tables are going to have to be set up as a regular thing on Thursdays. Which is pretty awesome! More new people showing up to check things out as well, great stuff.

There were so many matches, I can't even hope to recall all of them.
Witch Hunters vs Dark Eldar
IG vs Space Marines
Daemons vs Blood Angels
Tau vs Orks
Tau vs Space Marines
Tyrands vs Dark Angels

That's some great variety, just pleased as punch.

If the guarantee of a match is what it'll take for you or anyone else to come down, then you've got yourself a match. I'll always fight Space Wolves, or anyone for that matter. I'm playing for fun mostly. If you want a competitive challenge, I'm sure we can find that for you too.

Hey all!....and Chase....I can stop by on Thursdays to play 40K....I was taught by an excellent player so I know what I'm doing now. I've been playing Fantasy a lot on Tuesdays and miss the shooting phases of 40K! I can field Blood Wolves (Blood Angels), Salamanders, Crimson Fists or Imperial Guard, all 2,000+ pts. My name is Shaun. Drop me a line or post here if you need another player.

It's not a matter of needing another player, but rather if you want to play! Completely open door, just show up and don't be shy. If you prefer to schedule matches, this thread is your best bet. If you want a match against an unfamiliar army for practice or are looking for something a bit more competitive, either can be had in good fun.

We do not see enough IG for as much as they're played competitively, and Thursday 40k has yet to see Salamanders or Crimson Fists.

Then count me in. I will be there this thursday. I have no problems playing any army, and I do enjoy fun matches. I can also help newer players by playing slowly and explaining the rules as we play them. Look forward to meeting everyone!
