Does any of the thursday gamers have a Daemon weapon by chance, like a bloodletters sword or something?  I am looking for the bit and will be in Plainsville tonight.

Yes, I have one! Left over from a Bloodcrusher who used a different option.

I'm hoping for it to be in Plainville when you get there. Whether I'll be there, not sure, as I'm on my way to the doctor for this worsening cold. But the doctor is just a couple miles down the road, so I can drop it off if I'm not able to go tonight.

Nah, you can have it. Gotta have something good come today if the GK isn't showing up. :D

In other news, I'm out tonight. Rest and anti-biotics are the order. Still good to know regardless in the grim future there will still be war, and that grim future is tonight!

I'm not quite sure who or what this Thursday night will bring, but it is the final Thursday before the doubles tournament this Saturday. Likely for most players, this will be the last opportunity to get in some practice. And if not enough people show up, I hear the singles games are acceptable.  :D

Come to think of it, I don't even know what happened last Thursday, since I pulled in a(nother) sick day.

A small crowd tonight, but sometimes that when the most fun is had.

First attempt at a doubles practice game was Daemons & Necrons vs Tyranids & Space Marines. WesCron phased out in real life, so we started a second game, with Space Wolves replacing the Necrons.

We played the Doubles scenario in which each team picks a single opponent's army to count for kill points. The Tyranids threw everything they had to stem the Daemons, while the Space Wolves and Space Marines (both kill point armies) commenced epic close combat slap fighting. The Tyranids fell just after Fateweaver's arrival.

The last unit on the board for the Space Marines was a Chapter Master, his sword pointed toward the oncoming horde of Daemons. In Turn 6, he lived through Breath of Chaos, Boon of Mutation, Daemonic Gaze, Soul Grinder's Harvester and 4 assaulting Bloodcrushers. He finally succumbed to Fateweaver in assault, on the last possible die roll. That dude took a huge Warhammer beating, and in death there was rejoicing because he was epic in life.

Looking forward to the tournament Saturday. Big Sam and I, Team Orbital Bombardment, is a well-oiled machine!

Seems like it's been awhile since we've had a Thursday 40k of playing just to play. The people I've talked to all seem to be in the same mood with tournament fatigue, and willing to try new and random stuff just because! Should be fun tonight.

We won't be having another 40k tournament until July at the earliest, so definitely chill out and have some fun screwing around.
