yeah, but mostly i chose tau for the models, like fire warriors and battle suits are my two favorite models in the game. and having come from CC nids, i wanted something faster, and shootier, And I REALLY wanted a tank =D

Yeah, I gotta admit tanks are really helping my game. I just need to spend some time actually painting them... and finish building them. :)

Isn't there a painting social on Dec 27th?

Once a month, usually the last Tuesday of each month, Battleground has an informal show-up-and-paint night. It's nice, because people can trade painting tips, suggestions and just chat in general.

This would be the first one I've remembered since July. Apparently, people on Facebook know about this sort of thing, but the forum is neglected and unloved.

From the Google calendar:

"Come down to Battleground in Plainville to hang out, eat some pizza, paint some models, watch / talk about movies and TV, and have fun! New and experienced painters are welcome and encouraged to join! We've certainly got plenty of projects to work on, and I'm sure you do too. Last month we had a bunch of people come out and had an awesome time. I'm looking forward to this next one."

ummm, yeah quite a while ago, uh oh, i think you even responded to it. Yup, just checked, I just forwarded it to you. If you have already filled up the tourney not factoring me in though just throw me on the waiting list, it typically filters in, and if not, worse things have happened.

I just didn't recall getting an email from you.  If I sent something back, you're all set.

I'm going to try and head up this Thursday since I'm on holiday break and no work Friday. Looking for a 1750 preferably against IG or GK.

Pat, I need to back out of our match. I was so nervous about it, I went and got food poisoning. I'm gonna try to come by the store still, but I don't have the stamina for a match. My indication of tiredness came during a certain loud and public expletive-laden rant toward an automated check-out machine. Good stuff.

Actually, it was. :| I ordered the same cheeseburger and fries I get every week, but I didn't recognize any of the guys in the kitchen. I'll chat with the manager when I'm up on my feet.

If it were a person, I wouldn't have yelled though. (And I won't yell at the Piezoni's guy.) But I hear ya, I'd much rather share my feelings with Six, all things said.

Well since Ben pussed up the puss tree I'll give the run down. 4 games:
Small game of Orks vs. guard with the orks being victorious
3 1750 games. Dark Eldar vs. Tau. Tau wins on the tie breaker by 50 vp.
Deathwing vs Deathwing. Yes deathwing won.
Daemons vs. GK. Daemons getting the victory despite non preferred again. Grrrr
