I knew I was forgetting one match from this past Thursday.

Grey Knights vs Tau

At 1500 points, that's not a great match for the Grey Knights. :|

Love it. I would have love to have seen Tau stomp GK. It would be like if Rocky 4 was reshot and Creed killed Drago.

Love it. I would have love to have seen Tau stomp GK. It would be like if Rocky 3 was reshot and Creed killed Drago.

Tsk tsk tsk at all this Grey Knight hate, but ben was right at the 1500 level my Grey Knights didn't fair very well against the Tau Broadsides

and Drago was Rocky 4, Rocky 3 was the one with Mr. T i think

You're right. I realized that right as I hit Submit.

EDIT: For me, its not really GK hate, but old codex love. Seeing one of the oldest codexes beat one of the best new ones makes me pretty happy.

Ben, there was also 1500 points of tau on 1500 of salamanders.

Also, phoenix, yeah that game was rough, though to your credit you were a great sport about it, and after the initial purifier rush failed and i started moving in, you did take a huge toll on my forces, and crowe did survive! i think i just had way too much plasma, although your paladins armor saves were on fire! Also getting 30 models under the flamer templates helped a lot  ;) Thanks for the great game!

I got that one under Tau vs Space Marines... or vice versa. Hell, I can't keep track of all the games, let alone which faction people play. All I know is Pat was playing with a cheesy Matt Ward codex. :P

it was a good game, i learned that rushing tau and not getting into assault will not end well lol

i'll have to try you again with a re-tweaked GK list or when i get all these Necrons assembled

I've fortunately or unfortunately hit the point where I don't feel like spending any more money on Warhammer, Yes its fun but the hundreds of dollars that get put into the game could be put into otherthings.......

Well, yeah, I suppose one can't go lower than losing to me. Still, Karate Days will be a little less happy now.

Wes, go out and win the lottery already. The holidays are coming up, too. "Mom, all the guys are gonna have Triarch Stalkers and if I don't have at least two, I'll look foolish."

My sister is lazy and constantly throws a load of guff at my parents, so when I do pretty much all the household chores with a cheery attitude, my parents don't mind paying my way for 40k. Yay!

EDIT: That rhymes!

With the store closed for Thanksgiving, there's no Thursday 40k this week and no plan for a "make-up" day. We're just skipping it.

That said, two things:

1) For this week's 40k fix, Wednesday is the annual TANKSgiving event. Grab a tank, *any* tank, come down and kill other tanks in an epic free-for-all.

2) There will be only ONE Thursday 40k to practice for the Doubles tournament! December 1st is the first and last Thursday to get your team together and get in some practice games. Here's your warning that the Adepticon missions are very complex.

If I don't see you Wednesday, Happy Turkey Day!
