500 Point Tournament lists are due November 1st, meaning this Thursday is your last Thursday 40k to practice with your armies and adjust your lists. We've had a steady stream of practice games with lots of good feedback on the scenarios, but there's always room for second-guessing and fine-tuning.

If you want a bigger (that is, "normal") game, you should probably post here.

Ben, do you think you will change your list? or is it going to stay the ridiculous "OH look at me, im BEN and im going to bring fate weaver at 500 points" list?

And to everyone else regarding 500 points, just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

I haven't run the same list twice, so I don't know where I'll end up. Chaos!

There are people who will max out their 500 lists. I recently had a conversation about blocking board edges in a tournament, and the courtesy (if any) surrounding that. Some people flat-out won't do it, others will at least warn the opponent and still others will take a win any which way they can. With 32 people at the 500 tournament, I know we'll get a bit of each column. I'm hoping the brackets will ensure players end up with like players and everyone goes home satisfied.

I think it's going to be a quiet evening this Thursday. I may have time to squeeze in a 500 point game, I know I have to peace out early.

I'll still be there at the beginning for the random people who show up and are looking for a match.

Very cold rain/snow may fall tonight, so everyone take some extra caution on the roads tonight.

I'm your Thursday 40k weatherman, reporting live from my computer.

A healthy turnout this evening, despite the inclement weather.

Orks vs Deathwing
Dark Angels vs Necrons
Tau vs Eldar
Tyranids vs Grey Knights

Spent the evening teaching and those I taught also got a lesson from the regulars in how to constantly bust my chops.

Also, three Bens in the store is too many. "Ben!" We're gonna need nicknames.

Ben, it's simple, just carry around the model you had at the Zombie Crawl and have everyone call you Candy.

That'd do it.
Reality is a cruel and unintuitive place with rather frustrating game-play mechanics.

Would you prefer "Hey DB?" or "That Guy Over there!" Was glad to see you running through a game for the same folks I demoed black reach for at the anniversary event.  We're getting a bunch of new blood in there lately, very exciting to see new faces on Thursday nights!

Well, there's the Ben who's been around the store, but is newer to 40k. And there's the Ben who showed up last week, but has clearly played before. So "new" and "old" is only going make it confusing. And, I hate to break the news suddenly, but my chops won't be around forever.

Chris, that's a very tough choice, but of those two I would prefer "That guy over there."
