A very solid night and our third week in a row with all six tables up and running!

Daemons vs Witch Hunters
Blood Angels vs Imperial Guard
Space Marines vs Tyranids
Dark Angels vs Tyranids
Dark Eldar vs Imperial Guard
Necron vs Necron, theme battle of the night with Nightbringer vs The Deceiver

I got a bit distracted by new Magic cards, but I did get to run my Chopstar (Skulltaker, Herald and 4 Juggernauts).

The Facilitator is being added to the list of my Thursday 40k unofficial titles, in addition to the Closer and the Favored Son of Chaos.

I was just reading a blog entry declaring the play-testing value of players switching armies. I think the idea has fantastic merit, and I'd totally be willing to try it one of these Thursdays.

Thoughts?

Its an Awesome Idea to save some money and test out units/armies before putting the money into playing them at all I myself would be willing to try it after the tourney.
I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.

Hi I'm Tim, new to the Battleground community. I got to stop by the shop for a bit this Thursday and it was nice to meet some people. I plan on coming by more often if my work/tutoring schedules allow.

I played a bit a few years ago but now I'm back into the hobby and I'm looking for practice games mostly. Currently I can field upwards of 2K but I still need to order/assemble some models.

Hey guys,

It was nice to meet the both of you. Anyone and everyone is always welcome!

I started my game a bit earlier last night, so my awareness was a bit fuzzy. We saw...

Daemons vs Blood Angels "Descent of Angels" (Wait, why again did we roll Deployment?  ::))
Blood Angels vs Imperial Guard
Grey Knights vs Tyranids
Space Marines vs Imperial Guard
... thought there was a 5th match? The one downside to starting before everyone else. :|

Solid turnout for the evening!

Next Thursday is the last Thursday 40k before the Singles Tournament on the 23rd. 2000 points, using NOVA missions, which are straight-forward, easy to understand.

There was also a nurgle chaos space marines army against a space wolf army with thunder pig cavalry (both of which were exceptionally well painted)

Yes, thanks! Those armies were really well painted. Hard to say Nurgle looked nice, but it looked very, um, Nurgly.
