So this is an Apocalypse model?   ???  Prefer to fight a practice Feast round, but whatever, I'm up for a challenge.

Anyone else looking for a more standard practice round?  Bill?  You and I have never had a proper game.

I should be there around 6pm tonight, have not played any games of 6th yet; or a game of 40k in about a year.

Another great night for 40k! Except one thing that I will address last.

8 tables up and running. It was a great cross-section of competitive players practicing and new players learning the ropes.
Daemons vs Necrons
Orks vs Dark Angels
Sisters vs GK
IG vs GK
Eldar vs Necrons
Orks vs GK
And a couple other games whose composition escapes me at this late moment.

I'm slowly getting the hang of 6th, learning something new with every game and every conversation. I think most players are in the same boat. I'm getting very different vibes from very different players, things are very much still shaking out. I learned quite a bit more about how to play with Flying Monstrous Creatures, and more still about how damn annoying Necrons are.

Chris A. won the Space Marines codex!

And now, the bad. After everyone left the store, to my shock I discovered Sam had taken down the Thursday 40k Grit & Balls poster. At least the Templecon poster advertising the event 5 months ago is still up, as is the incomprehensible advertisement for some online class or something. Yup, Sam thought that the kids and parents who never complained were somehow offended, so he took down Grit & Balls to advertise the Pokemon league on Sundays (which by typing that have inadvertently done). Let the truth be known, Sam has a deficiency of grit and/or balls.

Sweet!  Especially if Chris A. is the new guy who recently posted.  If not, still cool.

Celestine has grit & balls in spades. And like Celestine, a new Thursday 40k poster will rise against a galaxy of Sam's darkness and tyranny.

So I heard it was another awesome Thursday 40k!

Rumor says 9+ tables?  What were they?

A number of tables were playing Warmahordes, but we indeed had another full house.

I remember more who showed up than what they actually played, but it looked like everyone playing was having a good time. 6th Edition has revitalized players' imaginations.

Simon showed off his beautiful new GK army vs Matt W's Space Marines, his last Thursday 40k before moving to New York. Simon and Matt also brought a pile of free terrain and terrain-building supplies, much of which went to new players. The store I think took the remainder.
