I'm going as "that guy" again. Had a good time last week, so why not again? Still getting my sea legs under me from the new job, but I'll get there.

Off to go fix my car myself to save money to buy more 40k pieces. Can't be harder than putting together a Metal Model of a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch.
I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.

New to the forums, but have gone to BG quite a bit, just not on Thursdays. Since i'm on spring break i'll be trying to make an appearance tonight. I want to try my list.

No one will mind proxies, especially if it means they get some 1850 practice.

Two games tonight.

Orks vs Tyranids. Orks won Capture & Control, punctuated by the Orks making a Leadership check at -4. Not a -4 penalty, but a -4 total. Their heroism was insane!

Grey Knights vs Space Marines. Space Marines went down pretty hard, but Vulkan himself was a boss.

So, we'll see what next week brings. It's the last Thursday 40k before the tournament. I should really try playing a game before then. I should make a list too... Hmm.

So what did this still newish Ork Player learn tonight

1) Genestealers are pretty bad ass
2) Fearless rules suck
3) Monstrous creatures are pretty bad ass
4) Fearless rules suck
5) Apparently Orks have the "are tasty" trait against Tyranids (see statement 1,2,4)
6) Those fearless rules were written by someone who apparently hates Orks
7) Did I mention that Genestealers are pretty bad ass
8) That apparently watching an entire boyz mob eaten, makes the other boyz mighty brave.

And here I thought my biggest worry in the 40K universe was AV14 vehicles.

But the Boss's lunch was protected!

Vul'Kan does what he wants. He took on Assassins, Inquisitors, Terminatours, Dreadknights, and Henchmen all by himself. It took an Immortal Grey Knight to take him down.

Two games tonight.

Chaos Daemons vs Tau. The Greater Good was fatewoven pretty hard. I rolled four dice, four 1's for saves and re-rolled them all for successes.

Blood Angels vs Chaos Space Marines. Oh, sure the Blood Angels won, but they got a glimpse into a mirror into their future into their souls. Harrowing, I say!

Well, it was the first really awesome weather day in quite some time. People will come back to 40k and we'll say, "Here, throw some dice."

Tournament this Saturday looks to be really excellent!

7:30 is on the later side of "acceptible". :) These days, I don't get in and settled until 6:30 myself. Between 6:30-7:30 is usually good. Any later, and the games tend to drag into the late night. It takes slightly longer than the average game, based on it being half-practice, half-social event.
