Well, I'll be there this week but I didn't pack up the Khador when I left this morning. I'll be bringing 2000+ points of Tau, so I'm up for a 2000 pointer or some 1000 point doubles in prep for the tourney.

I'll probably get there early and work on painting up some hammerhead tanks.

This question came up, here is the answer:Q:
What is the arc of fire for a gauss flayer array? (p53) A: As it is mounted on the hull it will have a 45 degree arc of fire. However it is slightly unusual in that it has multiple gun barrels. As long as you can draw line of sight along one of them, you can target the unit.

Solid night of 40k.

Space Marines vs Tau, a test game with Shadowsun. Interesting to see how Tau function at Ld 10.
Grey Knights vs Necrons
Blood Angels vs Tau
Grey Knights & Blood Angels vs Orks

And, after checking out everything, one Black Reach kit to a new player, who will split it with a friend. Word.

Next week, I want in on a doubles game, practice for the upcoming Trios tournament.

Sounds like a solid night with 2 new players as a bonus

Well, I am the guy that bought the AoBR set.  Thanks for showing off the game to me.  I will be getting my friend into it (as soon as the new baby stuff wears off).  As for myself, I will see y'all in a couple of weeks.

I thought I would be building a space marine army, but after reading the rules...Orks are just too much fun to pass up.

Also just a tip... don't limit yourself to just the armys in AoBR if you want a diffrent army than just keep the books, dice, and templates and sell the force you don't want. You can get close to $40- $45 for both orks and SM. But if you want to play orks than it's a win, win!

I strongly encourage players to show up with Doubles lists this week, as Battleground is generously donating lots of terrain and tables to the Templecon event this weekend. For the Thursday 40k crew, this means we'll have only a handful of tables left set up in the store.

It just so happens I am still looking for a Doubles match, as a partner and I want to practice for the Trios tournament.

The tournament is running 1000 point lists with 1-3 Troops and only 1 selection for each slot thereafter.

That's depressing to hear. Hans and I were going to stop down and get some Templecon practice in.

Won't be there this week since im stuck on duty Thursday.

however i will challenge you to a doubles match NEXT Thursday!

/manly slap
/throw down power gauntlet
/kick space dirt in eyes

the weapons shall be Grey Knights and Necrons vs whichever plastic space figures you choose

you may choose the field of honor... or which ever table has terrain

Ethel will be my second in case i come down with a case of something caught fire on the base

also i think Vance is going to try to make it as well, so Trios practice all around!
