I'm not sure if you're serious or not, Troy, but I'm going to have to say no to those Kans.

It would set a precedent that I don't want.

Chase,

As I respect your descision I would like the chance to try and change your mind.  Jeff and I spent hours making these very sharp looking Kans and I feel I must come to bat in its defense.

If it would help you change your mind we are willing to adjust our builds with hatches from rhinos so that they are at least 50% GW material.  This would take many more hours in production but we would be willing to compromise with you on this.

Ragnar,

18 Killa Kups is so legal please tell me the page you think this rule lands on as I am sure you have false information.

First off, Killa Kups is not a unit listed in the Ork codex. But please tell me the page you think this rule lands on as I am sure you have false information.

As far as Killa Kans are concerned, 3 heavy support choices per team at 3 Kans per squad equals 9. Do you still want the page number?

Ragnar,

You must be seriously out of touch with your codex if you do not know of the Killa Kup unit and and please pertaining to your ruling of these kill kans I definitly would like a page number.  I am concerned that you are such an avid Ork fan and you are having such trouble with your codex.

Chase,

I await your reassessment of Jeff and I's hard work.

Thank you,

So,

Looks like Dave Goss' original partner can now play with 100% certainty so now I am out a partner...

I sent a message to someone asking if they needed one for the 2V2 but should they be all set I may be on the outside looking in if I can't find a partner which would be very disheartening. I signed up early for the 2V2 and would hate to miss it due to this.

Anyone willing to join a Dark Eldar in a bit of carnage?

Thank the gods that we've got people like jester....

But for the benefit of others, direct quotations will suffice I suppose.

***note: all quotations refer to Codex: Orks, 4th Edition, unless otherwise noted in the following***

"USING A FORCE ORGANIZATION CHART
The army lists are used in conjunction with a force organisation [yes, the codex has a typo in it] chart from a scenario. Each chart is split into five categories that correspond to the sections in the army list, and each category has one or more boxes. Each box indicates that you may make one choice from that section of the army list, while a dark-toned box indicates a compulsory selection. We've included the chart used for Standard Missions [and, what do you know?!?! the chart for the upcoming tournament, derp] below" (page 94).

Also, rather than type out the unit entry, I assumed a copy of it would be more helpful

___________________
And, finally, if some players have somehow misconstrued the Big Mek rule titled' Da Big Mek', listed on page 97 of your Ork codices, if these players should have access to one, allows one Deff Dread to be taken as a Troops choice (as the learned jester has already accurately mentioned).

I think from now on I'll need your page numbers for special rules and army list questions.

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO WITH GAMES WORKSHOP'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Please read the following in conjunction with the What you can do section above and the Specific Examples section below. Other than a few exemptions, Games Workshop is not obliged to let anyone use its IP at all (for example, it's a widely held misconception that you can freely make use of someone else's copyrights, without their permission, as long as it's for your own private use - this is currently not an automatic exemption to copyright), and accordingly we always insist that our IP is treated with the respect that we feel that it deserves.

So, If you are using or want to use our intellectual property and you do not have a written license with us, you must not:

- Make any direct copies and/or scans of Games Workshop publications, images, or other materials. This includes any Out-o- Production materials, web site materials, and White Dwarf articles. We would however suggest that you produce your own materials (as long as you follow the other requirements of this policy

4. Counterfeiting/Peer-to-Peer File Sharing

We are encountering people who counterfeit our miniatures and products more and more frequently. Counterfeiting is a crime in most countries worldwide. In addition to the other penalties, you can go to prison for counterfeiting. The same is true of peer-to-peer file sharing - if you have not paid for the material and you download it using peer-to-peer software, you are engaging in illegal activity. The same is true even if you already own a copy of the relevant Codex or Army Book. Please remember that Games Workshop does not produce its rule books or codices in electronic format - if you ever see any such material in electronic format, it is likely to be the product of criminal or infringing activity

with the question of paper cup knock-offs of Killa Kans, are you seriously going after me for using a scanner to utilize labeled outside sources, cited properly? I'll load a friggin works cited addendum for you if your feelings have been hurt.

***The following is a quotation which is GW IP***

"General Principles

- Please make it clear that your use is unofficial by including some wording to the effect that, for example, "This website is completely unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop Limited." Are people likely to be confused as to whether your web site or any material was produced by Games Workshop just by looking at it? If so, then you need to alter it. In other words, do not try to make your material look "official."

- Please do not change our trademarks in any way (e.g., stretch or deform them)

- Include an appropriate disclaimer on your web site from the list on the following webpage

- Please make the origins of the intellectual property very clear, in other words, make sure that from a brief review of your material people know that you are unofficially using Games Workshop's intellectual property (and not your own IP or the IP of a third party).

- Make any direct copies and/or scans of Games Workshop publications, images, or other materials. This includes any Out-o- Production materials, web site materials, and White Dwarf articles. We would however suggest that you produce your own materials (as long as you follow the other requirements of this policy)." I have made the proper changes!

Oh, and Mr. Chef,
In your direct copy of the GW Legal page of 'Do and Do not Do',
there are neither quote marks, nor are there abundantly clear statements that what you have posted is GW IP. Your only reference is at the bottom of the post, and, to the cursory reader, cannot be easily seen. In this regard and in accordance with GW legal, I have reported you to the proper authorities.

GW Legal has been notified.

Someone please remind me to give a small speech before I call out the round 1 pairings the day of the event.  Seriously, don't let me forget.

This is important.

Really, remind me.

-------------------------------

Oh yeah, and about the Killa Kups - After further review the 18x Killa Kup list has my full endorsement to be used in exhibition games up to and after the day of the event.

I appreciate the countless hours, blood, sweat, tears, souls, and sporks that have gone into creating the beasts but I can not approve them for this tournament.

Much love though, much love.  /gang symbol
