How were the rankings done with 5 people tied for second.  What was the determining factor on who placed second and third?

The 2010 Steamroller Rules have a tiebreaker system which incorporates a players "strength of schedule".

The way it works is that you add up the amount of Tournament Points attained by all of a players opponents.  In this case, both Ian and Daniel's opponents totaled 6 Tournament Points.  The next step is to look at the amount of Control Points these players scored.  In this case neither player scored any Control Points.  The rules packet just sort of stops at this step so I took the next (natural) step on my own.  This was to look at the opponents total Control Points.  In Ian's case, he played Keith who happened to be the only player to score a Control Point over the course of the event.

Because Ian's opponents gained 6 Tournament Points and 1 Control Point over the course of the event he won out over Daniel who's opponents gained 6 Tournament Points and 0 Control Points.  Therefore he placed 2nd.

I see I didnt know you needed a BA in philosphy to find the tourny winners.. j/k  Sounds like the system is pretty solid.  I hope I will be around for the next one...
