Maybe I'm overtired or something but today this thread has been entertaining.  I feel like ownage is being dished out everywhere.

it is impossible for an officer to kill mephiston though (so long as they are still s3) unless you can roll a 7 on a d6  :P

suck it imperial guard, shouldve drank some gene seed juice  ;D

I will stab him to death with bayonets any day of the week.

Also, the Sanguinor isn't that good for 2 big reason. First, he is not an independent character and thus can't join units. He can get picked out really easily. Secondly, he only has 3 wounds at T4, just like a normal Space Marine commander. He's a glass hammer. Mephiston is foolproof, but he's not quite unkillable.

Ahriman can kill Mephiston with one spell;

Gift of choas

No armour save, no invul, you get one chance to nullify it or your a spawn

oh yea and he cast it 3 times in one round.

Last Choas codex was good, the current one is kinda bland.

The best summary I've heard about the current choas codex was

"Wow, look they took the choas out of choas"

Real space marines are'nt traitors, only cowards in power armor. bumps aside though, here is what i have found about marines:
blood angels - fast and strong
black templars - vanillas with oaths
chaos marines - vanillas with chaos god flavor
dark angels - i see scoring terminators that arent split into two types of squads
space wolves - you charge they charge, they ride wolves that own face
ultramarines - basically, the most versatile army this side of the bolter

Cato Sicarius was what sold me on Ultramarines.  From a practical standpoint, he isn't an overly powerful named IC, but one that's balanced in his own way that matches both the fluff and general game play.  The bonuses he gives to a list are average at best, and his wargear and Special Rules aren't that different from the other named IC's in the SM codex, save for Calgar and Lysander who both have Eternal Warrior.

I just enjoyed the exploits that were accounted for by him in the codex a lot, and the opening picture of him and his battle company on pages 18 and 19 were just so enthralling and captivating to me.

I used to follow an apostate cardinal branded arch-heretic.

Now he is a spawn.

My favorite HQ is now a Chaos Spawn.
