Sounds interesting.  I have never played 40K, so never really used the appocolypse rules.  Played fantasy fro 10 years though, just never made the cross over.

I heard that GW was going this route of making a system for appocolypse for fantasy.

I am a huge lizardmen fan.  TK and them are my favorite.

I read through this forum and wasnt sure what you still had questions about them.

http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/lizardmen/

is the forum i use mostly for lizardmen tatics.

So I was trying to plan this out and I thought the best way would be just to cut up some paper and draft this out.  Input is greatly wanted to make this thing look great!.

Here you go...

Each square is the size of the Howdah on the back of the Stegadon model. Each leg has two of them the main "stage" has 12 the back has 4, and on the head is one.

Each leg will have a poison dart guns or bolt throwers., the mid deck will have a bolt thrower, and the main will have a horde of skins and An engine of the gods. and the head will have the Slann driver with 2 temple guards.

damn that thing is no joke! the platform placement looks good. i was looking over your rules and i think that instead of making it a unit controlled by the lizardmen player, make it kind of like a "moving castle," more like a defended piece of mobile terrain(objective perhaps?). the rules are decent but i think it will be easier (and more balanced)to treat it as a moving building than a unit. it is basically too big to be hurt by anything and too slow to trample anyone. it will look sweet with maybe some huge bronze plaques hung from it for protection or covered in tattoos/lizard glyphs. anyway what do you think about my rules idea?

Thanks for the reply Brother Maynard...I am really looking into how to play with this thing... I think the best bet would be a scenario type game.... using it like a siege weapon to break down a dark elf city wall or something.  I have also been told about game scenarios that use a "valley" type setting in which you play on a 6x4 table but play length wise so each long table edge is a high cliff top and the short side your deployment but you deploy in 24 inches instead of 12.  Lots to do still...

I am looking into having some spiked collars around the the tail, and so on...

I also need to find jungle terrain or someone to help build a display board for this beastie...I need good jungle style trees or someone who is good at making jungle terrain.

More coming soon...

So work has begin beyond the planning stage.  I have never attempted something this big with SO much conversion needed and scratch building parts... This truly is scary.

But without your help I might not get this done....

SO HERE WE GO....

LEG PLATFORM:

MAIN PLATFORM  This will be not only a platform with Skinks and sharp pointy javelins but also a new edition...the Epic Engine of the Gods... I am working on a Lizardmen artifact that is a Beam weapon for Sieges.

So please comments are not only welcome, they are really helping me to keep going. Good or Bad so I can make this a crowed pleaser at tournaments and conventions.

No a long way from done... I still have three more leg platforms to make, the neck platform and the tail one. besides that I need to work on covering some areas of the beast to hide the fact it was a toy, add all the lizardmen to it and pin them on, then prime and paint.

But any feedback you guys have is still VERY helpful.
