Hey man, I'm just reading the rulebook. /shrug
According to the Ordnance heading there doesn't appear to be an ordnance weapon that doesn't use a blast marker unless it specifically says the model does not, like the Valk missile and the Tank Hunter.
Why are people choosing to only take the first relevant sentence into account when determining what an Ordnance weapon means / is by default?
If they are all large blasts, why is that not the default in the rulebook?
It is the default. People are twisting the way the rules are stated to say that it isn't.
IG Deathstrike Missiles are a special munition, and in the codex it is pointed out.
As is the Tank Hunter, Valdor, Hellstrike Missle, etc. Paraphrased from the tank hunter rules: "... is an ordnance weapon that does not use a blast". It shouldn't need to say that if by the rules not saying blast means that it doesn't use one.
Unless the words "Large Blast" are included in the entry, you cannot assume that a large blast template is used.
That's what we're discussing now, it doesn't work as part of the argument for it.
Do we need to bring in cyclone missile launchers from new marine codex to the old BA dex?
I'm afraid I have no idea what that has to do with this.
I don't understand why you guys, where common sense should come into play, are trying to find any possible way to keep it without a blast even as rules are presented otherwise. Thankfully Chase is a voice of reason for all of us, but come on.
