nope c'tans are an hq choice so you will have to pick. unless chase grants a floating HQ choice for it now.

the setup for the double is per player the following.

1 HQ
2-3 troop choices
0-1 Heavy support
0-1 Fast Attack
0-1 Elites

this leaves the following:
1 floating heavy support
1 floating fast attack
1 floating elites choice

There will only be 2 Hq choices on the field, unless your army has a special rule to allow the additional HQ.  Example, Chaos Space Marines can take a Summoned Greater Deamon that does not couldn't as an HQ choice for the force organization chart but this unit is counted as an HQ choice in all other respects.  This mean two space marine players that ream up could bring a total of 4 HQ choices.

So you can take a C'tan or a Lord, sadly not both.  But on the bonus side you won't be phasing out in this tourney.  :)

its not which is better its which do you like
c'tan nightbringer - a brick shithouse in close

c'tan deciever - slightly (and i mean slightly) less powerful than nightbringer, but he allows you to do alot more annoying and tactical tricks

necron lord - a cheap, good model. frees up the most points from your list, but also he gets a res orb which niether god has access to.

keep in mind the gods are flying solo, they cant (from what i know) join other squads, which means they could get singled out before they have effectivenes where as the lord can throw wounds at the troops around him and use the res orb to bring them right back up

They maybe solo but they are toughness 8 with 5 wounds an a 4+ invo save. Don't forget that the res orb is a 40pt upgrade and that attacks from c'tan ignore all armor and invo saves at str 9 or 10(one shot space marine captians, yah ;D). Lords are a lot cheaper though.

It really just comes down to that, Big Ol' Star God or Lord that you personally customize.  Don't overlook the tactic of teleporting a unit of immortals around the board and just unloading on unsuspecting units.

The best advice is to put together two lists.  One using each of the HQ's you want to field and see which one plays better for you.  That way you don't walk away on game day with that feeling of "what if..."
