yea, they aren't bad in this edition. The gauss weapons just can't get lucky and pop a vehicle anymore. They can still cripple it with mass shots like intended.
They still hold water in tourney's, ya just have to watch out for phase out. Its an auto win for your opponent, which I think is really lame. But, in the doubles D & Chase remove the phase out so as to not make the game horrible for that team.
FYI, the rumor mill has been fairly consistant in saying that the C'tan (star gods) will be removed from the codex and re-ruled as Apocalypse units. Thus granting these guys the power to rock jock.
