Steve D, I want to see you swarming with Tauros vehicles.  Also, Valkyrie Sky Talon?

I plan on getting 2 Sky Tallons, Tauros Venators, 3 Tauros assult veichles and 3 Drop sentinels. I plan on getting maybe 2 more Valks one of them being a Vendetta again assuming they do get them which I dont see why not.

Are the Elysian Drop Troops the only regiment of IG to have Sky Talons,venator and assault jeeps or are they "just" the most famous airborne regiment? I have no clue to their fluff except that they're badass paratroopers with gunships.

I dont know of other regiments that have access to that stuff Ide assume others do and Elysians are just the most famous

Can any one tell me, is it worth putting heavy bolters on Valkyres?

I tend not to leave home without them.  Sometimes they help out great others not so much.

I usually put them on my Missle Pod valkyrie.

Firepower under 6 inch's is 9xshots and 2xLarge blast pretty good for 130ish? (no book handy)

I think its comparable to the vendetta in that a vendetta will kill a tank, a valkyrie with pods and bolters will put a good dent in most units.

But isn't the glory of valks moving 12in and shooting the multi laser or las cannon along with the large blasts since the missile pods are defence weapons?

yes with Valks you can move flat out shoot a las cannon and fire 2 rocket pods.

I made the order today. Im starting off with the book for them that came out last week and 3 vendetta conversion packs. My elysians will rock jock with all their air craft.
