Can multiple leaders "hitch a ride" on a single transport?

As long as they both begin their movement phase within 2" of the single transport, yes.

Can I hitch a ride on my opponent's transport? Because that would be awesome.

Every army MUST have this model present and he MUST have the outer edge of his base painted white (the edge perpendicular to the table).

If I paint the edge white, it wil be a ring parallel to the table. ;)

Edge, rim, side, I don't know what to call it.  I guess side would have been better.

Sorry, Mike.

Edit:  He can not ride IN any transport for any reason.  He can only ride ON a transport as stated above, and MUST "hop off".

See OP.

What about if this guy gets vortex grenade/missiled or jaws of the world wolf? Will he no longer count as an objective? Or what about gift of chaos/boon of mutation where if a 6 is rolled he is removed and a chaos spawn is put in place of him, would the chaos spawn become the objective or would he count as being removed? This is why I suggested objective markers, too many special rules :P

Another issue I have with the "leader" model is the demons army. Where the whole army has to deep strike, its kind of rediculous to have a whole deployment zone for just 1 guy standing there with his thumb up his ass. This is on top of all the other obvious concerns I have to this. Like can I just have a single nurgling on a terminator base and have that be my leader? I could hide that model from shooting for days and the opponent would not be happy about it. That on top of it being a strength 4 toughness 6 monsterous nurgling with 5 wounds and rediculous saves. Some named characters aren't even that good... idk mabye its just me, but idk how I feel about the whole thing...

Last I heard, they were leaning heavily towards two players in a deployment zone.  (I think it is even in the official rules as of yesterday.)  Assuming both players aren't demon players, the other guy in the zone could cover.

I share your dislike for the mobile objective, however.   I could do without.

Lee, to answer your question, yes, the leader can be removed by a close encounter with a vortex grenade.

The mobile objective special character was not specifically created to make life difficult for anyone. We think it's going to add an interesting and exciting element to the event.

It's also going to make some other problems with scoring of the main, immobile objectives less painful and/or noticeable.

I really don't think it's going to be a big deal for those of you who don't feel like focusing on it. You can just tuck him away behind friendly lines and hope for the best. It shouldn't ruin your day or anything. If it does, I'll have a box of tissues on hand to pass out.  ;)

A free lunch.  A free T shirt.  And now....   free tissues!  What a deal for $40!

Is the tissue offer good for after apocalyptic explosions too?

Of course!

You can also expect words of encouragement and condolence with each and every major loss you sustain. Things like, "Hey man, it's only a game," and "You sure did your best!" will be doled out like delicious candy treats.*

So what's the ruling on gift and boon? Does the spawn then become the objective?

So what's the ruling on gift and boon? Does the spawn then become the objective?

If you target the Objective Hero with the Gift of Chaos boon and it is successful then the Objective Hero is removed from the game and will no longer count as an objective.

In my opinion, this means it is in your best interest to not target the Objective Hero with Gift of Chaos.

so by extension, we can infer that any effect that would remove a model from the board (vortex grenade, gift of chaos, etc) would cause the Objective hero to no longer count as an objective?

Yup.

Again, it seems like a terrible idea to remove these models from the table.  You are just reducing your chances to score objectives.  I guess we should be clear on what happens though.
