Cypher has returned.

On x-mas day Black library released ”Cypher lord of the fallen” Dataslate. It contained rules for Cypher and a formation of 1-3 units of chaos chosen.  he and his formation can ally with SoB, IG, BA, SM, SW, and CSM. NO DA or xenos. Like the inquisition the don't count tward the 1 ally and dont take up any FOC slots.
Cypher is pretty boss. Ws 7, Bs 10, I 8 are the eye popping stats. He's got a laundry list of special rules. A few are fleet, hit and run, ATSKNF, shrouded, eternal warrior, and more. He can shoot his pistols twice each in the shooting phase or once and run. His cc attacks also use his pistols half boltpistol and half plasma. Oh and overwatches at full Bs 10.
His chosen formation gets infiltrate(like the old chosen did) and if within 12” of cypher they get ATSKNF and use his leadership of 10.
Lots of cool fluff too. It is a little expencive @$17. But a must have for the DA and chaos fan like me

I love the fluff behind him. no one knowes his true motives. I doubt even the author does. I almost key word there, almost want to get him and dark angels and sue the rules for the Choosen and call them Fallen Marines.

17$ that certainly is a price for rules. Chosen in a space marine army. Kirby jumped the hell out of that shark.

The chosen squads are ”fallen angels”. There are a few special rules that apply only if you play against DA. like units with the inner circle rule with in 12” of cypher or his formation get ”zealot” and if cypher loses his last of 3 wounds within 6” of any DA models he is captured giving the DA player 3 bonus victory points. If cypher is still on the table at the end of the game then controlling player gets +d3 victory points.
