Command Squads Question for Dark Angels.

Discussion between a Friend of mine and myself about Command Squads Specifically the Ravenwing Command Squad.

It says for Each HQ choice mounted on a Bike. (Including Sammael. but not Other Ravenwing Command Squads) You can take 1 Ravenwing Command Squad. This does not Take up a Force Organization Slot.

Command Squads say that for Each HQ choice Excluding any other Command Squad and Techmarines.

Does this Mean if I took 2 Librarians on a Bike and 2 Techmarines on a Bike I would be able to take 4 Ravenwing Command Squads and 2 Regular Command Squads in my Army.

It took me a few reads to figure out what you mean. I think your question is "Could one HQ choice on a bike unlock both a Command Squad *and* a Ravenwing Command Squad?"

Does the HQ have to be attached to either Command Squad?

I don't have books in front of me. I think Calgar gets 3 Command squads or Honor Guards, something like that. So there's precedent, even if it's unique.

I think (and this makes sense so it probably isn't true), biker HQs can take Ravenwing Command Squads, Foot infantry take command squads, and deathwing take deathwing squads.  Thematically, it doesn't make sense for a mobile bike HQ to have a static foot command squad.
