NOVA and army transport

So I know a few people here are going to NOVA, and my question is - how the heck should I transport my display board?

I'm taking the train, so my plan on the army was to just put the foam in a standard suitcase, but I'm a little wary on transporting the display board.  Worse comes to worse I just carry it as is, and lean it against my chair...

How big is the display board is it modular? Is it foam?  Is it wood?  is it bendable?  Does it have tiny parts?  How fragile is it?  Can it fit in your suitcase?

I'm going on a plane    No display board for me.  Sigh.  Maybe next year

Lunch trays are the bomb just an FYI - im sure you can find one at McDonalds or in the airport

24.5"x18.5" with some terrain features 4" high.  Foam, with a plastic frame.  Flocked/Based/et al.

hmm carry it by hand maybe wrap it in a trash bag.  Foam is an issue when traveling to fragile
