Dreadnought Close Combat Weapons Ruling
« on: April 26, 2012, 12:18:19 AM »
Does the Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon Strength increase get transferred to other close combat weapons the Dreadnought has.

Examples: Furioso Librarian has a Blood Fist and a Force Weapon. Does hes get to strike at Strength 10 and then use the Force Weapon's Power to insta-kill something that is Toughness 6.

I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.

BA codex, p 60.

If a Dreadnought is equipped with a blood fist and a force weapon, it must choose which one it is going to use in each round of close combat, but will still gain one additional attack.

DCCW is a weapon by itself.  If you chose to go with your DCCW you are swinging a s10 weapon at iniative, but cannot use the force weapon.

It would be like Logan Grimnar who has a Frost Blade and a Fist, he has to choose before blows are struck which weapon he is using.

That is what I figured Marneus Calgar has his Fists of Macragge and a Power sword which follows the same. It just was a weird read in the Rule book that just said Having the DCCW gave you strength 10 and I didn't have the Blood Angels Codex on hand to look. Thanks.
