The event usually does fill up. I'm not sure what the current ticket sales are, generally it is posted when they get close to selling out. I know a bunch of people who are waiting for NOVA to be over to get there ticket's. I can tell you from experience the entry fee's for both tournament's is cheap.
The singles tournament is fairly laid back in my opinion by round two you see the two groups start to form those who are there to win, win, win start to play against each other and the people who are there for fun start to play. I am the later and I had 6 great games last year. The Pink Tau are shooting for two wins this year to double the end results from last year!
This is the first year that the team tournament is being run, so there is no previous experience to go on as far as competitiveness. I can see it go 1 or 2 ways, people are going to vent there comp frustration and throw the shackles off for this event or it will just be a continuation of the singles event
