magnetizing stuff
« on: September 25, 2011, 05:35:57 AM »
So.... I've got lots of imperial bastions that I'm thinking I'm going to assemble. I was thinking though, about magnetizing the base, the roofs, and each of the levels so I can make them as large or as small as I want with the different games. Any advice? I've never magnetized anything. Should I do it before the paining? Do it after the painting? Where do I get magnets? How powerful should they be to prevent parts falling off during play? I'm thinking 4 magnets.. one per corner.

magnetize before painting. I know plainville has magnets in stock if not k&j magnetics for any specialized needs. as for how powerful n52 and the size should depend on the size and weight if you are magnetizing multiple points on it I would say you wouldnt need bigger than 1/8 in.
I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.
