On the Eve of Battle
« on: March 19, 2010, 05:31:51 PM »
We have arrived at the eve of the third annual Megabattle and before the explosions begin I'd just like to say thank you to all participants for your efforts to get your armies painted and ready for the mayhem. I also wanted to thank you all for your help in trying to hammer out the special rules that are needed for an event of this scale. Your understanding is very appreciated.

I will save all further thanks until later, but for now, I just want to pass along my hopes that you have a great time smashing your opponents face in tomorrow.

Figuratively... not literally.

So, until the morning, I'll leave you with a quote from Sun-Tzu (which seems really relevant to 40K in general):

"He who knows the enemy and himself will never in a hundred battles be at risk."

Good luck.

Oh yeah... and don't be late. ;)
"The final word, then, is the game." - Gary Gygax

If we're doing Great Words to Live By, how about Rule of Acquisition #60?  Keep your lies consistent?   :D

Ah, The Art of Ferengi Dealings. I have no words of wisdom. I'm just excited about the face smashing part. Figuratively...not literally.

I think chases signature works too.

or wisdom from a cartoon.

Would Gummy bears suffice?

That cartoon is on Hulu. I will have it on in the backround as I paint today.

It will be done.

Gummy bears may work.
