2015 Spring Tournament Wrap-Up thread!

Hello Everyone!

We wrapped up the Spring Tournament a short time ago, and I wanted to send a big thank you to everyone that made it out. We had 16 players for the event, and some fierce competition all around!

Congratulations to our winner: Lance Morin! Lance went undefeated on the day!

I'll dig into the data a bit and update with some highlights.

Had a great time. Lots of good players today, glad everyone came out.

I had a lot of fun and learned a lot with 4 great matches. Thank you Brian and Sam for being Great TOs and Thank you Battlegrounds for another great event.

I'll dig into the data a bit and update with some highlights.

With some time to sift through the event data, I found some interesting tidbits.

Rebels were the most represented faction with 7 players
Empire was in second with 6 players
Scum and Villainy came in third with 3 players.

-REBELS-
The Rebel field was really diverse!
- There were only three big ships : 1 Dash, 1 Leebo, and 1 Han Solo.
- B-Wings surged in popularity, with 7 Blue Squadron Pilots.

-EMPIRE-
The Empire field was DOMINATED by Soontir Fel. He appeared in 5 of the 6 lists.
The Empire brought their Decimators as well, with 4 of them appearing, varying in loadouts and pilots.

-SCUM-
The Scum field, while smaller was not without some trends as well. Y-Wings were very popular with 5 of them appearing in the three lists. HWK's were also (relatively) well represented with 3 appearing.


-OTHER NOTES-

- Once again, there were No X-Wings flown!

- How the mighty have fallen! - there was only one Tie-Phantom flown. The Phantom has clearly been replaced by the Tie Interceptor in most Empire builds, and specifically by Soontir Fel.

Fel with a Decimator is going to be a popular Regionals list.

I managed to beat Soontir and Decimator list. I feel proud about that .
