it would be hard for me to commit to a weekly type thing, but I could do a event of some sort. could write up like 4 scenarios and make a day of it.

Yeah, I can't do weekly stuff either... But a 5 round single day tourney?  Definitely!

Just read the rules, yes this definitely looks awesome for starting a new army @ low cost and playing immediately. If I can just get the new longbeards then I'd be in

Chaos dwarves, that would be cool... Though how do you play them?  As dwarves or chaos?  Either might work, I guess.  Or is there a forge world rule set I don't know about?

Though with the new dwarf rules, I imagine you could make a cool fluffy "counts as" force.

the chaos dwarf rules are in the forgeworld chaos book (tamurkhan). they're legal in the fairly widely accepted ETC.

Yes, Chaos Dwarfs are in the Forgeworld Tamurkhan book with their own separate rules and model line. They are already ETC approved.
