Earthbreaker project log
« on: October 28, 2013, 12:13:28 PM »
The Ghordson Earthbreaker (Mercenary Rhulic Colossal) came out last week and it's a pretty cool model. I picked it up and after proxying it on Thursday, I immediately sat down and started cleaning the model while I chatted up the warmahorde players in Abington.

Project logs are nice as you can get critiques / recommendations and having your stuff in digital format really helps momentum and helps point out flaws you might have not seen prior.

This is where I'm at with it so far.

A scale shot with a Tactical Arcanist Corp member and the base coat of brown:

Now the chipping. This was done with the "hair spray technique" allowing for the undercoat of vallejo black to show through.

After the chipping was done, the metallics were applied:

Here is a shot of it coming together:

As always, any comments or recommendations are welcome.

I had a little time after the misses went to bed

Still needs a bunch of work.  I hope to ready the base (sand, prime and paint) tonight after dinner and then attach it to the base. I had to liberate the torpedo tubes as they were obstructing construction. Those will go back on too.
