Do you know what Rob Sims list looked like?  I've been thinking of adding SM bikers (actually, GK bikers, cuz knights on bikes are cool) to my Tau list for a while now.

Oh, nevermind, he's just using warp gate to jump the farsight bomb around without having it come in from reserve (so you can't intercept it).

I'm not super fond of that as the libby isn't super mobile

Wouldn't gate make Loth mobile enough?

Well, I mean that he can't move in the assault phase....so to some extent the unit winds up being "pinned" by where the libby is.  Probably not that big a problem since the unit is so large, you stretch it pretty far in different directions, I just don't like it.

Plus, y'know, if he fails a roll, you're kinda stuck.

I'm not saying it's bad, far from it, just not what I want to run. (though, I dunno, I like farsight bombs)

Well, not that I'm fluff bunny, but Farisght + Shadowsun is pretty unfluffy, they hate each other.

But yeah, that would survive your alpha strike, Troy.  I dunno, I'd consider it, just haven't had enough time to practice it before Templecon.  Running some version of my NOVA list sounds safer, and it's less gimmicky.  I like winning gimmick free.  :)
