New to the area
« on: December 17, 2013, 05:42:10 PM »
Hey everyone,
I'm moving to the area soon and was curious what the Warhammer 40,000 gaming scene was like.  I'm pretty new to the hobby and just looking for a place to have some games.

Which store are you closer too? In Plainville Thursday nights are the nights for 40k and has been for awhile http://www.battlegroundgames.com/forum/index.php?topic=2135.
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.

This is a great place to game at. I'm a little too far to make it during weeknights, but the tournaments regularly have 30+ attendees of all skill and age levels.

Sounds great, usually how large are the games?  My army is still pretty small.  I'm closer to Plainsville.

Depends. People who have been playing for awhile tend to play bigger games around 1500-1850. But there are a few guys who are just starting out to that don't have a ton of stuff yet. Either way there should be someone there who will be more than willing to show you how to play with however many points you have. There is also a walker event this Sunday that has free admission.

There's a 500 point tournament in 2 weeks, you might want to try that out.
