Hi folks!
The 2009 Warhammer-Empire New England Bash is being held this year at Battleground Games on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th.
We are a group of players who frequently particpate with the Warhammer-Empire website, already have 14 players signed up for this event, and all of these folks are coming from all over New England and beyond to participate in what we hope will be an annual event in our area. We are inviting anyone who plays Empire to this event, and most of those already signed up are Empire players, although some will be bringing other armies, too.
The Schedule: Saturday, May 16th store opens at 10am, 1,000 point mini tourney rounds start at 10:30, 1pm, and 3:00pm, with lunch break at 12:30. Entry fee of $20 with all funds being awarded to at least 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and all money to go back out as "pick your own prize" from store merchandise. One Dogs of War unit will be allowed during the tourney that fills the rare slot permited by the rules, however this can not be a Regiments of Reknown unit. For those not interested in the tourney, tables will be available for other friendly games through out the day and into the evening as well. After dinner, we can pair up for some pickup games that evening. Lunch on Saturday will be free pizza courtesy of GamesPoet. On Sunday, May 17th store opens at 11am and tables will be available for a a multiplayer, but folks could choose more pick-up games that day, if they'd prefer.
1. Suggested army list sizes are 1,000, 1750, and 2250 point army. Hopefully these tallies give enough options for various pickup games without leaving folks out.
2. It is not required for your army to be completely painted, so don't hesitate to join in on this event for some fun!
If you plan on joining us, spaces are filling up fast, but feel free to post here and let us know if you plan to participate. With 14 spots already filled, we figure there will only be room for maybe another 4 folks at most, so let us know, and it will be first come first serve.
