Hey guys! First Post! I'm very excited for this event. This is my first 40k tournament, though I have been playing for almost 20 years. This will also be my first time at the Battlegrounds. I am trying my best to get these 2,000 points of Necrons finished up before Saturday, but time is closing in.

I do have a question.. how long is this event? I know it's 2.5 hour time limits per round, but approximately what time will this conclude? My friends and I are debating on whether or not to get hotel room for the evening or just drive home.

Thanks!

Most times I think we're done around 7 or so, particularly with us starting an hour earlier (dice roll at 10) than we used to.

This event will be a bit longer than normal.

Round 1 starts at 10am sharp.
Each round is 2:45 minutes total (15m deploy + 2.5h round) + the time for people to finish up after weve called time.
Lunch will be an hour to allow us time to judge painting.  EVERYONE'S army will be looked at for this event.
Pairings will go up as soon as we have all of the result sheets.  Normally this involves hunting people down.

I expect the event to end right around 8:30 or 9pm.

How did the event go? What was the craziest combo?

It went okay.  Literally had 20 people drop out so that was a bit disappointing, but that's the way things go.  ;)

The craziest list I saw some something like 8 Wolf Lords (7 + Cannis).  It was pretty cool.  One of the lists that did really well was a Raven Wing list with TONS and TONS of bikes.  It was cool to see on the table for sure.

Results tomorrow.

Hmm, I bet I know who ran 8 wolf lords...

It would have been nice to send my monsters against that... oh well.  Hopefully there will be a next time and I won't have to drop out of it.

Will you post the "Old School" missions with the results?
