July according to the rumored GW 2013 Master Schedule

In particular, it looks like the Apoc slot will include the following on the miniatures side:

Dark Eldar Voidraven Bomber
Imperial Guard Hydra / Hydra-variant (hinted as toting Lascannons)
Imperial Guard Colossus/Bombard

and most importantly...

The dual-build Imperial / Chaos "Titanish-thingy" (bigger than a Baneblade - smaller than a Warhound).

I'm hoping its a newly invented Knight-sized machine.  In any case, I have doubts about that Plastic Thunderhawk (but I'd be first in line for one).

Looks like IG might be getting a white dwarf supplement this summer if the rumors for this Hydra lascannon variant and whatever the "bombard" is pan out.

They've needed models for Colossus/Medusa/Griffon for a while now so maybe it's some kind of multi-kit.

As far as the apoc "bigger than a baneblade but smaller than a warhound" thing... i was hoping for a plastic warhound since it's really not that much bigged than a baneblade or stompa so i guess we will see this summer.

they did have that fancy defense line/trench thing but never came out with any rules for it.

the xenos have gotten zero love with fortifications. I would guess it might not be worth it financially to GW to for example make a Tau defense line that some Tau players would buy. When it is much easier to sell the standard to defense line that over half the codexs can use as is.

I find that list pretty underwhelming.  The 4th edition Apoc release was AMAZING.  Tons of sweet bundles and discounted prices, sweet new plastic super heavies, and rules that people loved at the time.

There was something for pretty much everyone the first time.


Any way you slice it though, if GW does Apoc this summer and somehow manages to NOT fuck it up, it'll be frigging awesome for the store and almost everyone who plays the game.
