Come to our Core Set 2013 Prerelease and experience the newest Magic: the Gathering set a week before it goes on sale!


Main Events:

Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: July 7th Friday night / Saturday morning
Time: 12:00am (midnight)
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person


Format: Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck**
Date: July 7th Saturday afternoon
Time: 12:00pm
Entrance Fee: $20.00 per person


Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: July 7th a Saturday night
Time: 5:00pm
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person



Format: Sealed Deck*
Date: July 8th a Sunday afternoon
Time: 2:00pm
Entrance Fee: $25.00 per person


*Sealed Deck: Each player receives SIX packs of Core Set 2013 to use for building a deck.  Battleground will supply basic lands.

**Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck: Each TEAM will receive EIGHT booster backs of Core Set 2013 with which to build TWO different 40 card decks.  Battleground will supply basic lands.



Presented differently, we will run:

Core Set 2013 Sealed Deck - After FNM at midnight (12:01am) on Saturday morning
Core Set 2013 Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck - 12:00pm on Saturday
Core Set 2013 Sealed Deck - 5:00pm on Saturday
Core Set 2013 Sealed Deck - 2:00pm on Sunday

What Do I Get?

Prizes are based on attendance. There will be 2 booster packs per player put into the prize pool. Prizes packs are typically awarded to the top 30% of finishers.


In the Sealed Deck tournaments each player receives (while supplies last):

6 packs of Core Set 2013
1 promo Xathrid Gorgon
1 Achievement card


In the Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck tournament each TEAM receives (while supplies last):

8 packs of Core Set 2013
2 promo Xathrid Gorgon's
1 Achievement card

The achievement card is a fun activity for players to complete. Earn the satisfaction of completing all the tasks over the course of the Prerelease!




What Else Can I Do?

Open Dueling: Open Dueling players each receive 1 Core Set 2013 Intro Pack and 1 Xathrid Gorgon promo card. Open Dueling players use their Intro Pack to play against each other, as well as Prerelease tournament players who are between matches. All players should be encouraged to help teach Open Dueling participants how to play Magic.


Commander Melees:

Use your Commander decks with your friends!
