Megabattle 2012 rules questions and stuff

Hey Chase/Derek,

1.) Can we change the rules for the stratagem "replacements" so that the the player doesn't have to roll to have that replaced unit come from reserve? It just seems like a really underpowered stratagem right now.

2.) Is the prior rule change for Disruptor beacon still in effect? If I recall correctly, we played that if a unit was disrupted, you couldn't place that unit in impassable terrain -- I don't remember if that unit still rolls for scatter at the new location.

3.) Can we have slightly less restrictive deployment rules? Last year, I had a pretty hard time deploying my army in my allotted deployment area (a lot of stuff had to go into reserve), while the deployment area next to mine was fairly empty -- maybe something like you have to have to have the majority of your units in your deployment area and can spread out a few units into an adjacent deployment area?

4.) Will spearhead formations be allowed this year?

1)  No.  That's the risk you run when you might end up with a "free" 2000 points.

2)  I don't remember exactly how we played Disruptor Beacon last year but I do remember writing something about it.  We will play it the same way we did last year.  I'll try to find what I wrote later tonight.

3)  Yes.  Deployment will work a bit different this time.

4)  I remember hearing about Spearheads.  They're out of White Dwarf, right?  I'll have to have someone tell me what they are.  I remember Alan liking them and someone else telling me they were stupid.
