I'm going to both PAX and Anime Boston this year, and I'm cosplaying as Dragon Fist Lee Sin (Bruce Lee with sunglasses) from League of Legends. I have the cosplay all set, except for the most important part...I have a white silk karate shirt, but i have no idea how to paint it.
I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas for what to paint the shirt with. It has red sleeves, and a giant red dragon on the back
my current plan is to draw the dragon on the back (with my horrible horrible freehand skills) with a thin pencil, and then put masking tape around the drawing to make a stencil-like thing so i dont accidently color outside of the lines with whatever i use to color it in with.
Right now i have a red sharpie that i tested on a cotton shirt and it seems to be waterproof enough for me (3 minutes under running cold water and it wasnt affected at all), and it looks ok on cotton, but im not exactly sure if itll work on silk.
does anyone have any ideas for me before i yell "bonzai" and use a pencil and sharpie?1. It needs to be red
2. It needs to not be runny, and it cant wash off in something like the rain
3. It needs to be smooth and cant have visible brush strokes
4. It needs to happen before this thursday because i procrastinated like 2 months
pictures included (sorry for huge resolution)
