Sideboard questions...

hey i got a few questions about sideboards and a few other ...i know you MUST have 15 cards in a sideboard or no side board...

1. In a sideboard, do you put your sideboard in your deck or do you take cards out for your sideboard?

2. Chase you said u could have lands to fill up the empty spaces in your side board; in my sideboards could i put those lands in for other lands of the same color or different?

3. Do you have to put your whole side board in when you use it or could you just put say 8?

4. tokens... could you make proxies for tokens if you dont have any?

5. If u can make proxies for tokens, could those tokens be used in tourny play?

1)  The sideboard is separate from the deck.   You can chose to replace cards in your deck with cards in your sideboard AFTER game 1 and/or game 2.  You must revert back to the original deck before the next round starts, however.

2) Yes.  You can replace any card in your deck with any card in your sideboard, but only after game 1 or game 2.

3) You can use as many or as few cards from your sideboard as you would like.  If you want to trade out 1 card from your deck for 1 card in your sideboard that is 100% fine.  You could also swap in all 15 cards in your sideboard if you wanted to.

4) Yes.  Most people just use dice to represent tokens and/or counters.

5) Yes.
