New Record for Gen Con Attendance

Gen Con attendance hit a new record at this year’s show, with over 28,000 unique attendees, up 6% from last year’s record number. Turnstile attendance (the sum of the number of people through the door each day) was over 95,000.
This matches our observations at the show; we’re also hearing from more exhibitors that booth sales were good, trumping concerns about a bad economy and confirming the old saw that games are recession-proof.
