Hi, first off i have the 4th edition players handbook when it came out and havent touched it since... i want to try to play but I was wondering if there is beginner or tutorial type games that are at the store that i could possibly go to and learn how to play.

theres dnd encounters if its not over, also, this friday 8-11ish is the "torland campaign" we believe billy wont be back so we are in need of a 6th player. i think jay was our first choice since he is a regular but if he cant, you should be welcome.

that campaign is paragon tier, but really theres no difference between lvl 1 and 11 as far as gameplay, everything is designed to be a challenge equally. (a level one will die as easily as a level 11) also they might be easier to learn since now you have tricks and everything you can do you can do by paragon tier.

theyre good, we actually lost the cleric. you can go two ways:
battle cleric (you hit and heal little by little)

or the broken way:
super healer (spend your healing surge plus 50)

if you were to join our game its level 11 (one 10, 11, and 12 lvl magic item)

The Wednesday night D&D Encounters Season 1 is ending very soon.

The new season, set in the world of Dark Sun, begins on June 9th.  As far as I know, it will start at level one.  The character creation rules for Dark Sun are a little different than normal.  Check back here closer to the start date and look for a post with details on D&D Encounters Season 2:  Dark Sun.

oh yeah... if it is dark sun theres no divine power source (ie. no cleric, paladin, invoker, avenger, runepriest) but there is those fuckin psionics who still havent shown their broken side yet (last edition i was up to 379d6 + 29 damage against an evil creature with my ardent... sad days indeed...
