Alright folks here is where news and disscusion can be had.

well i figured out a few things over the past week. most importantly, i can reach this site Via work lol. so expect a good amount of me wasting time and way to indepth rambles

All right folks the extraction of the DEST Kage suits could have gone better. You lost the Warhammer IIC, Clan Predator and The Col.'s Patriot not to mention alll the melted armor that was left on the field. The Colonel, Tim and Murph thankfully managed to punch out before their mechs went down. they managed to get clear of the battlfield and get evaced back to the dropships. After a fighting retreat you guys managed to make it back to the drop ships and make it off planet. The Nova Cats are not at all pleased with this trick that the Kuritans have pulled. Thankfully that is now none of your concern.
On the other hand the Kuritans are pleased with the job you guys have done and are willing to sell you any of thier surplus. But they have one more thing you need to. There are some hi level execs of LAW stranded on a planet thats has been under siege by Rebuplic of the Sphere forces and Elements of the Hells Horses. The Kuritans want blood on this one, grab the suits and take out anyone chasing them. They figure that since the first one went so well another should be good.

Has there been thoughts of who is getting what in the way of replacements? Or is command still deciding what we have for replacements before we find out who gets what?

we're mulling over replacements and who gets what. also thinking about looking into repairs to what was destoryed it might be cheaper to get your old mech back. Also remember you personal 10 ton cache. that can be used as a one time free replacement of weapons and armor

to the 3 pilots that lost their mechs (Riley, Murph and Chris i want to say) on the last mission Command has come to a Dissension as to replacements.
Please pick out new mechs. You may pick out any mech you like, with any load out. You will not be receiving pay from the previous mission, as your pay is going into the purchase of a replacement mech. Now you are 1 mission past green pilots please put some thought into wich mech you are going to pilot and to remember how the rest of the company functions. Remembering we get paid as a team will keep you from having to forfeit your pay for a replacement and/or heavy repairs.
Also this is a one time deal, on the next mission if you lose your mech you will have to pay out of pocket to replace your mech, AND you will only have a chaise out of whatever small amount of mechs that are available for sale to us at that moment.
and to EVERYONE remember by the start of the next mission please have your personal 10 tons of cache picked up and written down to hand to Command and to Earl

Alright folks the last mission went extrememly well. You managed to get the V.I.P's off world and bloody the nose of the republic something theywon't soon forget. You also made out exteremly well on the salvage front, command will let you know how well in the coming weeks.
Next up the Lyrans have a slight bird problem. Clan Jade Falcon has seen the recent HPG outage as a perfect time to take some more territory starting with the old wound of Coventry. This is where you have a tough one. Its a headhunting job. Find an capture the Star Colonel Maxwell Pride. That and take out the rest of his command unit.
The Terrain around the area that the command is holed up in is a very marshy and at the edge of one of the deltas. This is if you can hit the command Nova and take the commander out this will be a big help to the Lyrans. While they aren't offering salvage on this one they are offering a very nice bonus to the contract if its completed and use of one of their repair facilities on planet. On the other hand you have to foot your on bill for transport there and while on planet. Though they will be giving you an air escort to make sure you drop in the right place. All in all not too shabby.

Well guys, I think that could have gone slightly better. that river really took a bit of movement for us without jumpjets to get across giving the Falcons a couple of turns to light us up. That fast mech that got behind the rifleman took out one of our heavy hitters pretty quickly and use of cover really made for some difficult shots. I think next mission that perhaps more of a surround and nuke policy might work better? I noticed that most of us seemed to pick one enemy mech and essentially duel with it. Much to the demise of cookies mech. Comapny Command can certainly take or scrap my plan as they see fit. Additionally I've finally played enough battletech i'm finally starting to get it all, much like my learning curve for fantasy.

since we had a hiccup with pay from the first mission and we didn't have time to do everything last time. here is what i am going to do. I have the totals of everyone's pays. please either email, or txt me your Repair totals from ALL 3 MISSIONS[/u] and i will tell you how much you have left over or how much you owe.
the three Mechs that were destroyed first game will not count against you, so Murph, Tim and Riley only need repairs from the last 2 missions, everyone else all 3.
in the next month get together with earl via someway to figure out all your repair costs please.
Make sure you tell atleast one person about this, i know not everyone can/does check the board but i would like to have everyone repaired and ready to go before we start. We are going to try and streamline out time at BG and get alot of the repairs/money and other things done because we have a month between games, it's plenty of time to get ahold of earl or myself

Alright after the failed attempt at head hunting. Now Sigma is kicking the Lryan regular units asses back and they need to find a way through the god forsaken jungle. The Lyrans have found a job for you. Something that requires a bit more finesse. There is a bridge crossing at a point in the river that showed up over night, and from what the pictures from orbit say there's not much around it in the jungle.
Your job then gentlemen is to go in and see whats there. If there's anything take it out and hold the bridge. If you can't hold it as a last resort blow it and report to base we'll find another way around. Hopefully by that time the Falcons won't have completely taken the base located just outside the city where the worlds telecom industry was located.

Hey Earl, what size Mechs are open, and are they limited to inner sphere or are Clan Mechs allowed?

Inner Sphere and Clan are allowed, just be aware when maintenance time comes around Clan Tech is a little more expensive to maintain and repair. As far as Size of Mechs go, Light Medium Heavy and Assault are open to choose from as far as I know. Are you free on Monday night Ron? Earl is down the Store on Monday nights for our Monday Night game in the backroom, we get there usually around 5:30 or so and you could go over Mech choices and such then if you wanted.

Good Job you managed to hold the bridge against heavy resistance. You did it without losing any personnel. Gamma Galaxy's 7th Falcon wont be the same without the Trianary that you guys took out. From what we saw the fighting was hard and bitter across that river. That Bridge is going to be a lot of use moving material across the bridge under cover of the Falcons Air Support elements. Good job.
Now we can make the push towards the city and its space port. The Falcons advance is has been stopped cold and they are reeling. That is what is up next rearm and refit gentleman and quickly the next stop is the edge of the city where we push these bastard Falcons off the planet. Get ready

Well being a new member to the group i will introduce myself I am Mike "Bozza" to my friends. i am still hashing out my mech choice trying to balance speed the need for a medium with it and your fighting style of blood mech does not lend to a medium to be honest i was considering a kodiak or a stone rhino The rhino being considerabley slower.
I have decided to be Ghost Bear Clan Recently merged with the Raselhages seemed the one clan that might be the least despised. still hashing out the character a bit. But i would be glad to meet up and role his or her stats and hash out their role in the lance or company with any of the players or Earl.

The Free worlds League was pushed of planet after their strike at the facility. It turns out the the Lyrans have a working HPG in the place and the Free worlds league wanted to hijack it to send out a message. To where the Lyran intelligence isn't saying. The next month and a half should be quiet or at least you hope so.

Alright this coming contract we have been secured by the Lyran Commonwealth for a multi-mission contract. Things are going to get heavy.
After come heavy dealings i have managed to get ahold of some mechs which now reside in storage.
I am offering the pilots (PC's) a one time chance to change into one of these mechs like we did with cookie last mission. The same rules apply, if you want to switch the new mech becomes yours and your old mech becomes the companies to do with as we see fit, there will be no switching back and forth.

All right the Company managed to push back the company of 2nd Free World Legionnaires. This is good for the invasion effort. There will be a few days for rest and repair then back to the front as the Lyrans push ever forward.

Since my Caesar blew up can the benefit, and flaw that I picked for it (but didn't get a chance to use) apply to the Battlemaster's Gauss Rifle? Also, did I get enough xp in the last fight to improve my stats? If so can you apply it to Gunnery. Thanks.

The next mission is an important one. The last of the Free worlds forces are holding out int he city of Sierra, using its spaceport to shuttle men and material out. They haven't yet called a ceasefire to get their Mechs and people out so were going for the hammer blow. The company is tasked with a head hunting mission, find and take out the leader of the Marik forces and destroy or push any remaining fores back to the port outside the dropships guns range.

Alright folks this week brings us into further Trouble with the 6th Lyran Guard as the 17th Donegal ask for their hep in pushing through the city of Rønne and taking out Colonel Alpert's Command there. Resistance has been stiff, but the 17th have gained us Air superiority, so no worries about any bombing runs.
The Mission is simple push the 6th Guard out if the city. Watch out fro any Dug in Infantry or vehicles, the are being relentless in their defense. Keep any property damage to a minimum there are still people within the city, these are the people you are being paid to protect.

The Mission for this week is to support elements of the 17th Donegal Guards Salvage Unit. The 17th continues to push the 6th Lyran Guard out of the Rønne, and need the Arc Royal Regulars hep in securing their salvage before the 6th Pushes back.
The unit will be playing bodyguard to 8 salvage vehicles, which are picking up the remnants of the previous days events. It's your job to make sure that they get out of there and that nothing bothers them. There have been reports of a the 6th being reinforced with some elements from outside the city. Mostly vehicle and infantry assets so keep an eye out.

Go into the BFB Battle Force Balance and then there will be a tab called Random Generator. On the far left side click FM Updates and either Lyran Alliance, Federated Sons or the Mercenary tab will be fine.

Ok I like the Cicada CDA-3F (it has jump jets, an ER PPC, and two Medium Lasers), However, I was tinkering with the CDA-3G (also with jump jets, swaps out the ER PPC for an ER Large Laser, and has a Beagle Active probe). What I did was make a 3G and swap out one of the Medium Lasers for a Guardian ECM Suite. This gives the unit something I don't think we've ever had, a decent Recon Mech that can also put an ECM Bubble where we need it, when we need it. Would you allow that variation on the 3G? I'd call it the CDA-3Ga.

This week Monday the 16th of April is game let me know if you cannot make it.
After much hemming and hawing a newcomer formerly of the Wolf's Dragoons has stepped up and taken command of the Regulars. The Mission for this week is a mix stalling and hunter killler. Stall the 14th Donegal Guard's advance and take out Colonel McReady, this will buy both you and Victor's flank as a whole some breathing room.

It is run on the third monday of every month, and yes it is open to anyone. There is also another one running on the third wednesday of every month. Ron has a thread in this same forum about the wheres and the when's we look for games.

Were back at it again on monday Below is the Mission if anyone has any questions let me know. Also before hand we ae going to be doing the repair and requistion from last month. If you lost a mech let me know what you want your new ride to be and I'll ok it or not and we can get a sheet ready.
GAME SETUP
Use a mix of Light and Heavy Urban (see p. 263, TW) and Industrial (p. 11) terrain. Half of the buildings have suffered 1D6x10 CF damage. Buildings destroyed from this damage are converted
into Rubble hexes. For each Woods hex, roll 2D6; on a result of 10+, convert the hex into Rough terrain.The Attacker selects one of its starting edges before the Defender chooses their home edge.
Attacker (Player)
The Attacker is a combination of the player’s force and the Grave Walkers mercenary unit.
The player may use up to 50% of their total force. The Grave Walkers are an additional force that equals 25% of the player’s deployed force. The mercenaries are Veterans and roll on a mix of any Lyran, Combine, and Mercenary RAT.
The Attacker enters 60% of its deployed force from any two battlefield edges at the start of the track. The remainder of the force enters during the Movement Phase of any turn after Turn 5; the force must enter all at once at that time as long as one unit from the original group remains functional on the battlefield.
Defender
The Defender consists of elements from the Lowbräu mercenary command and is 75% of the Attacker’s deployed force. The mercenaries have Regular experience and use any Word of Blake
and Mercenary RATs.
The Defender sets up 75% of their force anywhere on the battlefield but must be a minimum of 7 hexes from their home edge.
The remainder of the Defender’s force enters the game from the edge opposite the Defender’s home edge at the beginning of Turn 4.
WARCHEST
Track Cost: 600
Options
+150 Veteran Defenders: Increase the skill of half of the Defender’s units from Regular to Veteran rating.
+100 Sensor Interference: Use the Electromagnetic Interference rules (see p. 55, TO).
+400 Fire! Use the Fire and Smoke rules (see p. 43, TO); during initial setup, roll 1D6 for each building and Rubble hex. On a result of 6, that hex is considered to be on fire.
OBJECTIVES
Hammer. Destroy/Cripple 50% of the Defender’s force. [300]
No quarter. Destroy/Cripple 80% of the Defender’s force. [200]
Cut off retreat. The Attacker must position at least half their force within six hexes of the Defender’s home edge for a minimum of four consecutive turns. Units may move within this six-hex area, but if at any time less than half the Attacker’s force is within this area, reset the turn count. [300]
SPECIAL RULES
The following rule is in effect for this track:
Forced Withdrawal
The Lowbräu is spread thin elsewhere and follows the Forced Withdrawal rules (p. 258, TW) after half of its force is destroyed or crippled.

I have a question about the upcoming league, is this a good place for that? Basically there is a TRO for 3145 specifically for mercenaries. Can a Merc use units from that book even if it isn't in the 3145 campaign book? Basically there is one tank I'm looking for. The Testudo Siege Tank.

Yeah the tank is fine. mostly i think ill be making some judgement calls on some stuff. that is in 3145 mercs and is sold to mercs.
