Been having some trouble deciding on colors for the Eldar I am working on and would love to hear what the BG community thinks.
Here are a few recent samples (these models have been painted over at least twice).

I've always been a fan of Ulthwe (black/bone)

There is a simplicity to it that I enjoy.

Screw that shit!! Go flourecent Orange and Hot pink!!!
-
All 3 look purty good, but I also prefer the Ulthwe.
-
That sort of stark color scheme looks really great when you are capable of painting the whole thing very meticulously and neatly, which you obviously are.
-
I liekd the bluish one best, but they all looked good. Air brush?

Yeah, I use an airbrush for all of the base coating and initial highlighting the rest is hand painted. Punched it up the bluish model but kept it toned down on the Ulthwe model as I did not want to make it look grey.

I wish I knew how to use an arbrush that blue one is very close to what I wanted to do with mine and turquise

Starting next month I'll be coming into the store for "workshops" (proper post about it in the near future), airbrushing is on the list of things to demonstrate.

The blue looks killer. While Ulthwe is pretty sweet, they don't have the same wow factor that blue scheme has.

Agreed

I'm actually making an Ulthwe army as well. I finished a Hemlock Wraithfighter not too long ago, and I can share a pic of it, if you'd like. I was thinking of adding some highlights to it, or maybe even a decal or two. Part of the reason why I like it is like you said as well. Ease of color scheme is very helpful when you've got 60+ Guardians to paint. ;)

esthetically the blue ones look the best (in my opinion) and are the most eye popping but easy of painting can matter. It all depends on the amount of work you want to put into them.

Send a pic, I'd love to see it. For me it is less about ease of the scheme and more about the starkness of it (when it comes to Ulthwe as least). Waffling too much on colors, I could have had several units done in the time it has taken me with various other choices...these were the three I liked the most.
-
I like the ulthwe the best. The blue is a close second but I think the black has more of a sense of realism to it. Not that realism has any place in 40k but whatever.

Thanks for the comments and insight. None of these are really sticking with me...may need to try some other colors.
-
Damn man, I'd be happy if I could get my regular guys looking as good as ANY of those paint schemes :) Keep posting, I'm sure we'll all like to critique more

I've always liked orange, could make for some great eldar and not just fire dragons. Whatever colors you go with, awesome paint jobs, very neat. And I sympathies with this dilemma, I painted my space marines at least 6 different colors before I finally settled on one and I still think about trying out different schemes.

I currently have a nicely painted (in my opinion) Ulthwe army. But I personally love the mymeara color scheme. If I had a airbrush, that would have been my color/ craftworld. Good luck!!
-
Maybe you should look into the craftworlds and how they run and see if any of the particular theme of any craftworlds fits the way you want to play them. Then see if there is a variation that you like. Ulthwe is nice put they focus on psykers and guardian units where as mymerea are all about war the way the eldar were before the fall. I mean anyone will play any way it just maybe easier to find a direction to go.
-
I'd really love to see the red craftworld done. That would be so awesome.

Thank you all for the kind worlds and insight, still have a few more to give a try before I make a final decision. I'll try and post some when they are finished.
