Title: Battleground top 100 geeky things
Post by: JaredB on September 17, 2008, 09:59:44 AM
I got this idea from a podcast I listen to. I want to put together a list of Battleground's top 100 favorite geeky things. If you want to help, send me a personal message with your top 10 favorite geeky things in each of the following categories- TV, Movies, Books, Video Games, People, Non-video games, Comics, Animation, Gadgets, and Organizations.
Please number the items(10-1), not just a list of ten things.
Send them to me by October 1 and i will try to have it done a week or 2 later.

If you have any questions post them here or ask me at the store.

By "Animation", do you mean just animated shows in general (like cartoons), or something more specific (like "Japanimation")?

Also, do you want specific titles for each category, and do titles that are part of a serial count as individual choices or should they all be grouped together as one title (ie - Star Wars, Episodes 1-6)?

Animation would be any animated show or movie.

If you like just one part of a series(for me I would put just the first Matrix movie not the whole trilogy) then just list that. If you liked the whole series you can put that.

If only a few people list a part of a series and a lot more list the whole series I will add the votes for the part to the votes for the whole.

TRANSFORMERS, the new movie.  I was as giddy as a school boy on christmas morning when that bad boy came out.

sorry I'll make a list later but pure joy forced me to post this now.

Are we allowed to repeat choices?

ie - Could "The Simpsons" count as "TV" and as "Animation", or only one or the other?

"Are we allowed to repeat choices?"

What is this peer reviewed sociological research now?

No repeats. When the top 100 is done they will not be in categories
