Infinity take a ton of terrain; and most 40k terrain is not usable.  Terrain also plays a huge part in this game and is as important as your army list.  I also need a copy of Human Sphere.

Here are a few picture of some tables:

I like some of the mechanics from the little bit of rules i've read for infinity, when a unit runs around a corner for example there are reactive attacks and such which is a little more lifelike than 40k

but according to what assuran is saying above we would need some cityscapes or urban terrain to make it work

Here are two more.  I also know John Grogan was interested in playing and has a few models.

The terrain is the biggest stopping block for most people; many people use paper terrain for the game and they even have a section on the official forums dedicated to it.  The terrain density is so high, that the only thing close to it I have seen is Necromunda.

Here are two more pics:

Been awhile since I've been up the store,
but here's a board I built out of foam core and foamed pvc.

Still needs detailing, but it works

The containers and dumpsters are paper terrain

I have to admit, I have hobby-envy over those tables. Crisp, clean aesthetics are a nice change of pace from the grim darkness.

I guess you could call me one of the Dark Star guys :)

There are a couple of us crazies who LOOOVE this game, been playing since it came out.  I havent played in a year or so, but I'm definitely interested in starting up again.

We've done a couple of tables so far, a Yu Jing city table and an "African" savannah table.

I can't dig up any pictures of the city, but I was able to track down our savannah table..

It looks like a lot of fun, Nick Hough and I are interested in abington, because we have no games going on really...

I managed to miss this thread completely somehow. Yeah I am absolutely interested and have a painted starter box of ALEPH. If people started throwing the ole d20 around I would dust em off.

PS: Chase, I'm still waiting for my bag of pink D20s I ordered.

Hi all!  New to the area but I picked up the rule book and a starter box down in Virginia.  Would also throw my hat in the ring!

I'm torn on which army I would build... both are very polar opposite factions.

Either Combined Army, focusing on the El... or Nomads, Bakunin specifically, heh.

Crazy insane aliens bent on modifying / implanting whatever they can with the El... or religious focused army bent on being the only line of defense between humans and "sin", be it aliens, AI, or other.

Both sets of models look amazing to me.
Reality is a cruel and unintuitive place with rather frustrating game-play mechanics.
